Elements. Ice spoons. 2017
A set of handmade spoons with metal handles inspired by the forms of vintage heating elements and with spoon bowls cast in ice. The heat of the body rapidly travels from the hands to the ice tip of the spoon, melting it as the food is consumed, creating a transitory eating experience. The spoons and the Ashokan lens piece were both created for a Catskill Waters community dinner event at Old Glenford Church, celebrating local watershed environmental activists and supportive community.
