Site-specific installation for Understory group exhibition at Pamela Salisbury Gallery, Hudson, NY.
Extending vertically through all four levels of the gallery’s tower space, visitors take a symbolic journey through the lower tiers of a pine tree to witness a complex and interconnected ecosystem. The resinous lymphatic system of the tree serves as a defense and medicine, like the lymphatic system in humans. Gum rosin preserves the many memories of struggles from the tree's lifetime, eventually transforming into eternal amber.
